Louisa represented a Father in a case where the contact between him and his two children had become increasingly difficult, and one child was now said by the mother to be refusing to see him. The parties had grown increasingly frustrated with each other and this was creating an atmosphere at the handovers and causing upset to the children.
CAFCASS were involved and prepared a report recording the agreement of the parties on a number of issues and making recommendations in respect of other aspects.
Louisa successfully negotiated a Child Arrangements Order that ensured that the Father’s relationship with his children would be maintained and supported. Her collaborative approach avoided the need for a final hearing, saving both parties significant costs.
