We also run a series of mini-pupillages throughout the year, which give you valuable experience, and a good idea of what working at Becket Chambers is like.
Joining us for a mini-pupillage is not a pre-requisite for applying for a full pupillage, but in the last few years almost all of our successful applicants previously attended a mini-pupillages with us, and valued the insights and learning they gained from it.
We are keen to offer as many students as possible the opportunity of a mini-pupillage at Becket Chambers but practically, we are only able to take up to 10 students per year. Due to the high volume of applications, if you would like apply, please send in your CV and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. The covering letter should specifically address: your current stage and place of study and the reason you wish to have a mini-pupillage at Becket Chambers. We are also part of the Employability Points Scheme and will therefore also accept applications via this route.
Applications for a mini-pupillage should be received by the 6th March each year. These applications will then be assessed in line with Chambers’ mini-pupillage policy and offers of mini-pupillage made by the end of March. The mini-pupillages offered will then be timetabled in between the offer date and the following March. Applicants should be at least 18 years of age. We do not accept applications for work experience or from those still within secondary education.
We receive an extremely high number of applications for mini-pupillage and our places are limited. Please do not be deterred from applying for pupillage if you are unsuccessful in obtaining a mini-pupillage with us.
