Lauren joined Becket Chambers in May 2024. She has represented clients in a range of chancery and commercial matters including probate, trusts and breach of contract. She has particular experience in business and commercial law, contract law, debt and insolvency, the Consumer Rights and Sale of Goods Act, and land, property and conveyancing disputes.

Lauren sits as a ‘junior junior’ with HMRC, and has assisted with disclosure in several high-profile cases including a large-scale contractual dispute relating to government procurement of Covid testing equipment. She has also represented ASOS plc in matters relating to consumer litigation.

She has represented many London and Kent-based landlords in debt recovery and possession order matters, particularly relating to unpaid rent under a Section 8 Notice.

She has strong oral and written advocacy skills, and her paper-based work includes written advice in the areas of commercial, trusts, probate and property law, including transfer of equity to joint owners.

Lauren has a natural rapport with commercially minded clients. Having built her own business also gives her both practical experience and first-hand knowledge of the day-to-day challenges faced by business owners, as well as the impact of legal proceedings.

Combining a passion for advocacy and thinking on her feet with a love of research, she takes a forensic approach to resolving challenges, and enjoys drafting and producing written arguments.

Lauren is at an intermediate level in Spanish and Mandarin.
