Magdalena is a highly competent advocate and regularly represents parties in very stressful situations often involving allegations of domestic or child abuse as well as issues of neglect, substance misuse and parental alienation. She enjoys a particularly busy practice in Public Law Children and is skilled in dealing with strongly contested matters and complex multi-day hearings.

Magdalena is extremely sensitive to her clients’ needs and places great importance on developing a good working relationship when helping them to navigate the difficult environment of the family justice system. She is an excellent communicator and aims to be the person her clients can talk to with ease. Her clients appreciate her honest, pragmatic approach to the potential outcome of their case as well as her determination to achieve the best result.

In her Public Law Children practice Magdalena regularly represents parents and children. She is a confident advocate in cases involving allegations of neglect and domestic abuse and takes a very sensitive approach to issues of substance misuse and mental health. She is experienced in representing the most vulnerable of clients who often require the assistance of an intermediary, and tailors her approach accordingly. Many of her clients are not native English speakers and she is familiar with working alongside court interpreters to ensure her clients are represented to the best of her ability.

Magdalena regularly supports parents facing applications for interim care orders and emergency protection orders and actively aims to see her cases through to final hearing where she can. She places a strong emphasis on looking after her clients during the court process and recognises the importance of safeguarding their wellbeing as much as she can. This is particularly important during cases involving allegations of a serious nature; Magdalena has particular experience of handling allegations of non-accidental injuries including fractures and of sexual abuse. Magdalena also appears regularly in matters involving applications for Deprivation of Liberty Orders.

Magdalena recently acted as junior Counsel to a senior member of chambers in a recent fact-finding hearing involving a high volume of allegations of domestic abuse in care proceedings. She welcomes further opportunities led work.
Magdalena acts for mothers, fathers and extended family members in private law matters and frequently sees her matters through from first hearings to final hearings. She is confident in working with clients in circumstances involving allegations of domestic abuse or child abuse and extremely knowledgeable in finding solutions to ensure her clients are protected throughout the court process.

She prides herself on being able to build rapport with her clients and going out of her way make them feel supported and secure. Magdalena understands how stressful it can be to be involved in legal issues, especially if it involves going to court. She aims to minimise that stress by providing her clients with robust advice and sensible solutions to challenging situations. Magdalena is detail oriented when advising parents regarding Section 8 orders and works hard to find practical solutions to ensure her client receives an outstanding overall service.
Magdalena enjoys a busy practice in Divorce and Matrimonial Finance, from preliminary issue hearings to final hearings. Her practice encompasses TOLATA and Schedule 1 work in addition to financial remedy proceedings. She also welcomes instructions in relation to conducting round table meetings to assist parties in finding workable solutions to facilitate settlement. She is adept at dealing with varied issues, from complex disputes involving offshore assets as well as the division of modest assets.

Magdalena is particularly skilled in finding solutions in matters where non-disclosure of capital wealth or deliberate non-compliance are in issue. She is committed to ensuring her client receives the best outcome no matter the effort required. Magdalena is an effective trial advocate in contested final hearings and will fight for her client’s interests with tenacity and skill.

"It was great having Magdalena on this matter. Our client is vulnerable and very nervous, but Magdalena was great on both the hearings she was instructed on. She was thorough and made the client feel at ease and kept me informed throughout."
