Natalie joined Becket Chambers as a pupil in April 2025 and is now in her second six. During her first six, she has gained experience in a broad range of cases and now welcomes instructions in all Chambers’ areas of practice. As part of her Bar course she also trained in civil and commercial mediation.

Natalie has experience in all areas of Chambers’ practice. Having been involved in a number of cases during her first six, assisting with research, and drafting orders and attendance notes, she places great importance on her ability to support clients through situations where they may feel that they lack control, don’t understand the process, or don’t know how to navigate it.

Before taking up pupillage at Becket Chambers, she was a paralegal for the National Centre for Domestic Violence; and a case officer for Compass Continuing Healthcare, where she liaised between people struggling to access healthcare funding and the NHS to ensure that families could access the funding that they were entitled to.

As a paralegal, Natalie supported many of the most vulnerable people in society to help them access legal protection – such as obtaining non-molestation orders, occupation orders and prohibited steps orders.

Natalie is highly analytical, with a reputation for detailed research and the ability to hone in rapidly on key points. She is also naturally empathetic, and driven by being able to represent people who don’t have a voice for themselves – particularly the vulnerable – providing support and help, and seeing their case through to the outcome.

Through her experience as a paralegal and case officer, Natalie has extensive experience and specialist training in working directly with people in many challenging circumstances; including those with no support network, who lack capacity, or who have mental health challenges. Her support has also extended to liaising with Executors, people with Power of Attorney, and other family members.

She understands the emotional impact of high-risk situations, and is adept at reading people and adjusting her communication style to suit their needs. Her personal experience of health challenges helps her to empathise with the challenges faced by others, and she takes care not to overwhelm them. This empathetic approach encourages her clients to feel comfortable, allowing them to put their challenges across in their own words.

She was particularly excited to join Becket Chambers as a pupil because of their reputation for supporting diversity and inclusivity.

Before starting her pupillage, Natalie was a finalist in a mooting competition. She is committed to encouraging new barristers and will be judging a Kent advocacy competition in the coming months.
