Marie acted for a Father in a care case where the Mother could no longer care for the child because of her health and physical disabilities.
The Father had never met the child, and was unaware of his existence until contacted during the care proceedings.
A number of assessments of family members were negative until an assessment of a relative in a non-Hague convention country was positive. The final Care Plan was for the child to be adopted by this family member and move abroad.
The Father (and the Mother) agreed to the final Care Plan for adoption as the best possible result for the child.
