Protecting children removed from home by Police following severe neglect

Marie represented two very young children in an application made by the Local Authority for Care Orders. The children were found in circumstances of very poor home conditions and neglect and removed from the home by the Police. Subsequently, interim care orders were made at Court and the children were removed to foster care, with the support of the their Guardian.

The children will remain in foster care until the final hearing and whilst assessments are made as to whether the Mother can have the children returned to her care, or whether they will remain in foster care or be placed for adoption. Interim Care orders were made and assessments provided for.
