Sandria represented a Lithuanian mother with older children. Due to the mother’s serious mental health issues, the children had been in foster care for several months.
The local authority aimed to have her children rehomed with relatives, but they were a considerable distance from the mother.
Particularly valuable in this case were:
- Sandria’s ability to tailor a case to the Court in which it was being heard
- her long-term view of the ideal outcomes from the children’s perspective
She has helped the mother to achieve a Contact Order so that she can maintain a relationship with her children whilst her mental health improves. Ultimately the aim is to reunite the family. The case is ongoing.
