We are delighted to announce that barrister Adham Sleem (2022 Call) has joined Becket Chambers. Adham focuses on family law, including child arrangements, matrimonial finance, public law children, as well as general civil and commercial litigation.
Before joining Becket Chambers, Adham was practising at another set in the Southeast, where he obtained experience across all areas of family law as well as a range of civil matters. Before pupillage, Adham worked at LexisNexis as a Senior Editor on the Irish Cases Project and as a County Court Advocate with LPC Law. He undertook a wide variety of instructions in respect of civil matters, where he refined his advocacy skills and commercial acumen.
While completing the Bar Practice Course, Adham worked on multiple private children cases involving child arrangement orders under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989, which included matters with backgrounds of domestic abuse and allegations of parental alienation.
Adham graduated from the University of Essex with first-class honours and has an LLM from University College London. He completed the Bar Practice Course at the University of Law in London and achieved a result of Very Competent. He also completed an LLM in Bar Practice as a student advisor at the University of Law’s Legal Advice Centre. Having lived in the Middle East before moving to the UK, Adham is fluent in Arabic.
