During her pupillage, Natalie Alt (Call 2023) observed and actively assisted counsel in both Civil and Family cases under the supervision of Paul Tapsell. As well as observing a wide range of cases, she has actively drafted skeleton arguments, orders, attendance notes, position statements, defences and assisted with research.
Natalie has been involved in numerous civil matters, including disrepair, possession, access injunctions, fast track trials, landlord and tenant, TOLATA and small claims. She has also worked for the Home Office on condemnation matters. As part of her Bar course, Natalie completed her training in civil and commercial mediation.
Natalie has also been instructed on a range of family finance and children cases, in both private and public law, from initial client conferences through to final hearings. She is dedicated to developing her skillset in this area and is the author of several articles on the chamber’s website. Before taking up pupillage at Becket Chambers, Natalie was a paralegal at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, where she supported many vulnerable people in accessing legal protection, such as obtaining non-molestation orders, occupation orders and prohibited steps orders.
