Nicole Jennings and Emily Jennett from Becket Chambers will provide a concise review of the most significant cases and key decisions in Private Child Law.

This webinar will cover some of the key developments and recent cases.

After the presentation, there will be an opportunity for real-time questions. A handout will be emailed to attendees to accompany the presentation with supporting content.

Nicole Jennings, Barrister & Mediator – Call 2016

Nicole has a thriving practice in private children matters (including Schedule 1) and has acted for parents, extended family members and guardians, including in complex multi-day matters. She has successfully represented clients throughout the financial remedy process, including preliminary issue and final hearings. Nicole has experience in drafting legal documents at various stages of proceedings in family matters, advising on the merits of potential action or prospects of success in proceedings, and is able to digest large amounts of information and provide succinct, realistic and accessible advice.

Emily Jennett, Pupil – Call 2022

Emily joined Becket Chambers as a Pupil in 2024 and will be coming to the end of her second six in the autumn of 2025. Emily accepts instructions in private family law matters, dealing primarily with applications stemming from the Family Law Act and the Children Act.  She has observed a number of private childcare matters with factual bases ranging from contact disputes to allegations of serious abuse and has a good understanding of the principles surrounding childcare proceedings.
