Becket Chambers will be taking part in the 10km Tunbridge Wells Legal Walk on 25 September 2024. Led by Lord Justice Males and Lord Justice Newey, the walk aims to raise vital funds to help provide free legal advice in Tunbridge Wells, and 100% of the funds go directly to Citizens Advice in North & West Kent.
At the end of 2023, 4 million families were sitting on debts used explicitly to help pay for food, housing costs and other household bills. As a result, demand for legal advice services has risen dramatically, and rising costs have heaped immense pressure on legal advice agencies that are struggling to cope.
We believe everybody in our local communities should have fair access to justice, as the work agencies such as Citizens Advice provide helps to reduce debt and homelessness, combat discrimination, and tackle injustice.
